Shutdown computer
I have a computer which softoff doesnt want to work on, I dont know if it is just my settings or if I am just doing something drastically wrong?
Softoff is turned on in the bios. The motherboard is a Soltek SL75-DRV4
After windows98 shutdown where it would normally turnoff a single click is made and a prompt is displayed, this is where the computer hangs.
To test if it was windows or not I installed Red Hat and the same problem occurs when it shuts down.
I have replaced the original power supply and the motherboard(same model).
There is no network card in the computer.
If any body has heard of a similiar problem to this before or has a solution please post.

see my thread about shutting down 98. Not sure what's happening in Linux tho... maybe try turning the "Softoff" option off?
