Angry Please advice. Water spilled on notebook keyboard

I spilled water on my laptop yesterday. I can still reboot my computer, but certain keys dont work.

I went to the Acer National repair centre and they quoted 126.50/hr + other stupid fees. Im not happy with the price, are there any other option? Please advice

with a laptop this could be alittle insane, but have you thought about doing it your self? hope for the best with some rubbing alchol to clean up the contacts(assuming you where lucky enought not to short something) and if it doesnt work http://search.yahoo.com/bin/search?p=laptop+keyboards

    126.50/hr + - WTF!

I would switch the thing off, and leave it to dry out completely. Water is not really that dangerous to inactive electronics, (if you dunk it/dry it regulaly you may get a limescale build up of course!).

On live electronics it can create short circuits which can do a lot of bad things.

You may find that once the thing has REALLY dried out, it'll work again.

first of all, why would you mix orange juice and water?

Secondly, have you let it dry out yet? I would imagine the orange juice may make things a little sticky. If you feel up to it, tear it apart, swab it down with acetone or alcohol and let it dry.
