My new case: Temp thingy
My new case has a temp screen on the front, and it works via a wire. Theres the problem, it seems as tho its the type to go under the chip, but that would interfere with the chips pins (its thickness). I figured maybe it would go between the fan and the sink, but that wouldn't seem accurate. It can't go between the sink /chip, as they need to be flat to one another. Heres a pic of it, hope u have seen it before(or something like it.).

it's very focused on the back of your room, not the thingamabob, so maybe you can retake the photo and post the new one.

its a crappy pencam and it refuses to do a better job. The wirse is merely a wire that leaves the temp screen, goes out, bends, and goes back. What you are seeing is the bend, which is exposed wire. I think its made for the exposed bend to go under the chip...

Well so let me get this right, wherever you place the wire it reads the temperature? I don't see how it could go underneath the processor through the pins or underneath the fan and above the heatsink. could you put it between the chip/heatsink? I haven't used one of those before, but it seems like a nifty device.
EDIT: you already said it can't go between the heatsink/chip. It must be able to go under the fan or like right next to it or something because there doesn't seem to be any reasonable way to get it to be any closer to the processor

I haven't either, my buddy has but his was a tape strip that taped to the bottom of the chip with a VERY thin wire. I'm thinking maybe it just hangs in the case? (lame).
I think if i were to place it between the chip/sink it would prevent the heatsink from laying flat against the chip, causing a negative effect as it would make it hard for the chip to disperse heat onto the sink....The company is very slow in replying so i am trying to get this on my own.

BMJ gave me the idea of placinf it in the fins of the heat sink as low as i can get it, works for me.
