Building Gaming Comp...need input
Here's what I have now. Please comment or add or whatever.
ASUS A7V8X mobo
XP 2400
2 512 sticks of Kingston pc 1000 DDR
Soundblaster Audigy (and 5.1 system)
Radion 9700
Western Digital 80 gig 7200 RPM HD
Any Ideas on CD/DVD drives, or on the mobo/processors would be appreciated.

Wow! Where'd you got PC 1000 memory sticks from???
Hehe, there are PC66 PC100 PC133 PC166 PC200 PC266.
Not really sure how this is done at the pentium side, but i'm sure
it's alot more complicated there.
How about your monitor? It's one of the most important features
of a PC.

Where have you been for the past 2 years?? He's talking DDR, and while what he said wasn't correct, because there isn't anything called PC1000, there is PC1600, 2100, 2400, 2700, 3000, 3200, 3500, and 3700!!
If you're buying a computer to play games on, stick with a CRT monitor. They're provide a much sharper image.

Some TFT monitors claim better sharpness then CRT's,
never had the oportunity to try it tough.
