heheh, do you have lots of money?

I know you're have plans for what you want... but I have 56k and a few downloads going so I didn't take the time and effort to open those links you provided

What exactly does your motherboard consist of? Is it an nForce 2 board? If not, GET ONE! I hope you haven't bought your parts yet . nForce 2 is currently the best/most stable/default unlocked, etc.. board available for AMD. SiS board are stable, but lack overclocking power. VIA is great of overclocking (up to a 250 MHZ FSB ) but has some stability issues. One of the great thing about nForce boards is LOCKED PCI/(AGP ?) bus(ses)! This means you can overclock your FSB and therefore perfomarmance without worries of damaging addin cards.

Looking to upgrade? Is that motherboard capable of the 333 MHz bus required by the 2700/2800+ chips? There are very few that are, but this is a requirement.

Now, as for the money. Prometia is what you want A step above and beyond liquid cooling. A freezer in your computer Overclocked chips running at and below room temperature. Best overclocks I know with an AMD chip uses a 2600+ and a prometia unit to go all the way up to a massive 3.07 MHz (~4000+). That's halfway to your 8Ghz requirement and over the 3.5 GHz. But it'll cost a hell of alot. The 2600+ is about $400 and the prometia is about $400-$600. nForce 2 is about $150 - $200. Etc...

The nforce 2 was ordered like, last week.

And, I was joking about the 8ghz for now TravisS. I'll wait until those numbers are practical.

Nitrogen cooling looks nuts! Water cooling is all you need, _I think_. When you get into freon and nitrogen(if that's possible!!!!)...wouldn't it be more pracitcal to just hold onto your panties for a few months till something faster comes out. sure, you'll have the best computer for like 2 days..until it's outdated.

    Broadband(TM).
50-70kilobytes/sec average. During the middle of the download, and not the initial burst, it's capable of the following(this download went fast!)..
