ICS problems
Hi,
I have a three computer network with all running Windows 98se. On one of them I had ICS installed and working for about a year. Them for no reason it has stopped working. I have tried re-installing ICS and that didn't help. So I then tried formatting and re-installing Windows and everything else. That didn't help either. In the Network properties all the neccesary ICS protocols are listed including (home) and (shared).
Thank you,

I am not sure exactly what you mean by ICS but the first thing to do would be check the physical connections. Also consider what software you installed and what changes you made to your computer recently. Check to see if it is disabled in hardware profiles or if something needed is disabled in msconfig. I remember my dsl connection stoped working when I disabled new.net in my start up. At first everything worked okay but after I had added new hardware or something then things stoped working. My home network has been giving me constant problems using windows 98se so I suspect that it isn't a very good networking os.

By ICS, I mean the Internet Connection Sharing software that is included with Windows 98se.

Have you verified that all computers can communicate? Can you ping each computer from other computers?

Yes, the computers can ping each other and share files. The real problem is that when I have ICS installed and connected to the internet I'm unable to download any webpages. After I remove ICS I am able to download webpages.
