    Longtime problem

Hey all, I figured I'd throw this out there just in case someone else had the problem or knew how to fix it.

I upgraded to XP Pro back in March and everything works great, EXCEPT.... everytime I boot up, I get a message that the OS has found new hardware (VIA bus master) and opens the utitility to try and install the driver for it. Here's my specs:

    Motherboard: Asus A7M266 (First release)
CPU: AMD Thunderbird 1.2 GHz (200 MHz FSB)
    RAM: 256 Mb DDR PC1600

I've searched all over the web and tried installing the latest VIA drivers, but to no avail.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

sure! After it does it right click on my computer and select properties.

Click on the hardware tab, and go down to the middle and select the button "device manager".

Now find the device with eh "!" in yellow and right click on it.

    Select disable.

Now its not going to come up anymore to its enabled.

Have you tried your mobo's website to see if other people have had a similar problem?
