    Web Browsers

    I am currently using IE 5.5, and I also use Netsacpe, but I get a kernel error almost daily with IE. Are there any other free browsers out there?

    Thanks

    I downloaded Opera, and I am running it now, its just as good as IE, and faster than Netscape, although you have less of a viewing screen.

    I think I found a new web browser.

    Thanks Fordy.

    I think Ill even test out Mozilla later

    Opera has one REALLY good ability that makes it better than almost all browsers out there.

    It has a built in, 100% effective ad blocker... you just need to turn it on.

    Well damnit, I can't remember how I did it...

    As soon as I remember I'll tell you, but as a start, to prevent pop-up windows either go to File->Quick Prefrences->Refuse pop-up windows or hit F12 and then Refuse pop-up windows.

    Of course this doesn't get rid of on-page ads, but I can't remeber for the life of me how I turned that option on

    File => Preferences
    Under Windows, there is a pull down menu: and change it to Refuse pop up windows
