Hardware error detection software for windows

    Hi

What are the good Hardware error detection software for windows?

I won't to like, check if my hard disks are failing or any other hardware problems detected. I want a simple s/w like, if you have errors on some hardware device, it will show a warning sign displayed. Is there any kind of s/w like that?

    Thanks.

Most servers have hardware monitoring systems, but desktops generally do not, apart from temperature and voltage monitoring. It's just not that useful to typical users. Typical users want cheap computers, and they're willing to forgo a bit of reliability to get it. Adding the ability to do in-circuit diagnostics would result in a significant increase in cost.
What can this strange device be?
When I touch it, it gives forth a sound
It's got wires that vibrate and give music
What can this thing be that I found?

In the case of hard drives, there may be a vendor supplied utility that can report the hard drives self monitoring status. Wiki article:

S.M.A.R.T. - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

For the motherboard and it's components, there are generic and possible vendor specific diagnostics that could be run.
