ggs, can you please post the PAP/CHAP portion of your PPP connect script? There may be an error.
Edit: Also, is TCP/IP compiled into your kernel? I haven't had much luck with kernel 1.1 so maybe revert to 1.0.5 until the tcp stuff is sorted out
