Anyone have experience with large capacity drives? (>2.19 TB)

I bought a WD Caviar Green 3TB (SATA) drive recently. It came with a host bus adapter card (since it's a hi-cap drive). No matter what I do, I can only get Win 7 to show 746 GB of the 3TB. I was told to use the HBA card instead of the onboard SATA controller, done, told to convert the drive from MBR-based to GPT-based (GUID partition table), done.

The machine is new (made in Nov.) Win 7 32-bit. Is there anything I can try to get it to display the full capacity? The WD website says that a 32-bit machine with Win 7 should support large drives.

    Thanks in advance.

C'mon - spill the beans on what the solution is, just in case someone else has the same issue.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

In the midst of the rat's nest of cables inside this PC, I switched SATA cables...embarassing.
