    Windows media player

    Hello,
    I'm running Windows XP-Pro SP3, Windows media player V. 9.

I'm learning about audio podcasts, so I've downloaded a podcast
file, and trying to play it in the media player; but I can't hear anything.

All I get is a video display of fireworks, and a text below that,
showing the headline of the file.
The file is from radio, to be exact, Bloomberg radio.

How do I get some audio?

I'm on a 56k dial-up modem, does this have anything to do with it?

    Thank you.

Media Player only plays like a handful of A/V file extensions so this is no surprise. Find the file extension here and open your file with the appropriate software.

What is the extension name of the file?
