subversion server

Hello

Me and my friends need to make a C project for school.
I did some research and I want to use subversion if its possible.

We dont have a server to setup a subversion server ourselves

I found a site that we can use to post our project : http://opensvn.csie.org
But this site is full and dont let new projects in.

Does anyone knows another site just like this?

Do you have ownership of your project? If so, are you willing to license your work under a Free/Open Source Software license? Are you willing to use a version control system other than Subversion? If so, the possibilities open up:
Bazaar: Launchpad
Git: Github
Mercurial: Bitbucket, Google Code Hosting

Actually, all three of the above tools are distributed version control systems that can be used without a central repository. You can consider such a work flow if necessary, e.g., send each other special patches with version information via email.

We want to use subversion because

I have read that more people can work at the code at the same time and it will merge the changes for you.

The license isnt that important because it is a small project and we will use it only for intern use

The same thing applies to all three of the tools that I listed. In fact, they supposedly have (or had) better automated merge capabilities than Subversion.

It is important because it would affect what code hosting services you can legally use at zero price.

There's sourceforge, too, if your code is open source. They support SVN.
