Angry Fast Dial(Firefox addon) users, beware

    [rant]
I recently upgraded to the recent version 2.15 and it caused a lot of pain in the neck by
    1)changing the default search engine
    2)Deleting existing bookmarks
    3)Replacing them with advertisements.

    and all done without... permission!.
If that's not enough other addons(Web developer,IE tab) started to work improperly.

Do not upgrade to this crap.

I uninstalled this after the upgrade.
    Bye Bye Fast Dial.
Speed Dial seems to be a good alternative.

If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

Yeah the link says it all.
    Darn!.
ATM,For the total of 788 reviews, the last 200 reviews(approximately) are from the last 2 days alone!(and almost all are negative)
This is kind of like Vista, only with smaller number of users.

Fast Dial always sucked in my opinion. Speed Dial is superior.

Hmm, dont use firefox (it sucks IMO), but there migh be some kind of vioation of the GPL in there, what with the ads and all.

Nope. Nothing in the GPL says anything about ads. Also, I can't find anything about the license of FastDial, so I can find no indication that it even IS under the GPL. (And Firefox isn't exclusively under the GPL.)
