    Please wait for IDE scan?

When I boot up I get a message displayed saying "Please wait for IDE scan"

    Following that it will display:

    Drive 0: HDS72808 0PLAT20
    Drive 1: not detected
    Drive 2: not detected
    Drive 3: not detected

Can anyone tell me how I can get rid of this message? I'm sure it can be removed somehow because when I first ever built my PC I never had this come up.

I don't remember the exact moment when this started appearing, but I think it might have something to do with the fact that I installed a SCSI disk drive.

I have a 40 gig SCSI drive as my main disk and an 80 gig drive as storage.

Not sure if it will help but my MB is a Gigabyte GA-8I915P Pro

    Any advice?

    thanks.

    Hello george.

I don't know the specifics. But your issue is related to the BIOS. So you might want to check there. Probably some SCSI setting you need to change.

Possibly you can hide the message. But then, maybe not. Ever since I enabled the SATA controller on my mobo, it displays a similar message. Since I enabled the onboard PATA/SATA RAID controller, there's another one after that. It's the output of the device sub-bioses.
