    That Pentium is a 64-bit CPU, so you can change to a 64-bit OS if you want to..

    There is no need to pay for explicitly labelled 'dual channel' ram, you just need a matched pair of modules. Most same brand chips bought at the same time will be close enough to run as dual channel. All you are paying for is for the factory to test and certify that it will work as dual channel. Obviously if you are an IT dept this is important, to an average joe, maybe its not so important. You take you chances, maybe you win dual channel memory, maybe youjust get what you paid for, theres no downside unless having dual channel is critical, in which case pay for the certification.
