Like I said, the extra taxes that people in other countries pay on their gas pays for services we don't get here (healthcare, for one).
If you rolled what I pay for gas together with what I pay...

These reasons are all invalid for someone who has to drive very far to work in a city with very little public transportation (ie the majority of the US)
