Edit tags could be much like code tags. They start a new paragraph and add a border around the text. That way you could have indented edits:

I don't know why I do it, I just do. :) I just wanted to see what other people thought about edit tags. You're right, they don't really make sense -- if the board went to all of the trouble to allow...
Even though I voted for edit tags, and I usually do use them, I don't indicate extremely trivial edits. Like spell-checking. See the first post. :) And I don't always indicate when I remove text...
I always put my edits inside "edit" tags. That is, my first edit will look like this:
Edit 1.
Then this:
Edit 2.
then
Edit 3.
And so on.
Is there any chance that this forum will ever...
