28 offerings in Portugal. Not a single one programming related.

Dunno what to think of job offerings collector sites. This one claims it links directly to the companies job offering pages, but the very first one I found seems to link to another collector.
The programmer’s wife tells him: “Run to the store and pick up a loaf of bread. If they have eggs, get a dozen.”
The programmer comes home with 12 loaves of bread.

What you mentioned regarding Portugal is correct. The main reason of lack of jobs in Portugal is that JOBBIND currently connecting to multi-national companies, most of them are headed in the US and have operations on worldwide scale. It seems that their activities in Portugal is not much. However, for other countries, it is different.

Also, JOBBIND actually connects directly to companies. It is not a collector-to-collector as you might think. Take this for guarantee

    Thanks for the feedback!

First link I tried, no contact information listed, and no link to the company website, just a link to a jobbind listing that has no details I could use if I were interested in the job. Further links just go to other job collector websites.

Methinks jobbind is a fly by night startup.

Until you can build a working general purpose reprogrammable computer out of basic components from radio shack, you are not fit to call yourself a programmer in my presence. This is cwhizard, signing off.

I have just tried again the links above, and all of them are working. I believe it seems that there is a misunderstanding in what jobbind is.

Jobbind is a job search engine that only collects job posts from companies career sites. Therefore, all the links above points to jobbind results pages. If you like to apply to any job, just click on the job link, and it is going to take you to the original job posting. I think that most people these days are familiar of search engines, specially such a technical forum.

The main difference between jobbind.com and other job search engines, as in indeed.com for example, is that jobbind only collects jobs directly from company career sites. Therefore, the quality of the jobs posted and their relevancy should be high for job seekers

Thanks abachler for your feedback! I hope that I clarified more the picture Please tell me more what you think!

    Best,

It worked for me, however the search engine may need some tuning. When I use "C++" as a keyword, it returns mostly C and C# jobs on the front page.

I think it has promise, this eliminating of the middle man. I hate using job boards like Dice and Monster that merely send me to a search firm.

I think jobbind is a worthless piece of crap website that adds no value whatsoever to the links they re-post. It's more useless than a pimple on my ass and twice as unsightly.

Recruiter firms usually won't post company contact information, because then you could just go around them and apply directly, and they don't get their commissions. I hate it too, but I can understand why it's the way it is.
