    If this was part time that would be decent pay ($1000 a month) but if its full time it should be I would think $4,000 a month....does that sound about right???

    So why the .ro domain in the email for a US company?

    It isn't even your registration email address (me? suspicious? nah)

    You must be an hell of a coder to think you should earn 4k a month.
    2 to 3k is more like it... and around Europe at least, 3k is really only achievable by those who already spent some time in the company and proved their worth (within 1 to 2 years of admission). I'm pretty sure US shouldn't be much different.

    Unless, of course, you are an hell of a coder applying for At&T or something like that.

    Starting pay in Alabama (USA) for a *good* programmer is about $40K-$60K / year.

    Some IT folks around here start at $50K.

    EDIT: added ** qualifier.

    As an intern I was making about 1500ish a month before taxes if I was doing full time hours. I make about 1000 a month now working at a clothing store in the stockroom (Internship is over, and I am saving up for more terms of school =/ )

    You know, in my country the average salary of programmers is only around $300-$400 a month. Full timer.

    This smells kinda seedy.
    Code:
    cout << "Language comparisons are dumb";
    echo("Language comparisons are dumb");
    PRINT "Language comparisons are dumb"
    alert ("Language comparisons are dumb")

    >>Where do you live?

    Indonesia.

    BTW, my current salary now is only $313 net per month. And the highest one I know was only $432. But that's just for common programmers.

    Well, I just say I'm content with it. Because the average cost for a single person like me was $162 per month. People got a hard time finding job here that they would take any opportunities

    The ones with a salary of $1000 or more are head programmers, projects leaders, and those SAP experts.
