    Internet RPG

I'm looking for one or two people that will make an internet RPG with me. It would be a windows game, where you move through the "city" or whatever we come up with and you play with other people. Sort-of like a Diablo-ish-ness, only not as ghetto-fabulous and good. You'd work for free, but you could advertise for your company/skills or whatnot. I suck with the workings of the internet/sockets/protocols/etc.., but I'm okay with windows. Anyone interested?

    No Story

I don't have a story yet. I put together a little engine sort-of thing. I havn't done many projects. If you're interested and know about windows or internet programming let me know.

Well the very first thing that has to be done is for a story to be written. This provides so many details on what needs to be present in the world and how things should interact.

Also what type of networked game? Centralized server, client stored, server stored, P2P, etc?

Will there be Cliff Racers? You can't make a good game without Cliff Racers.

Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

    African or European swallow?
Take the average airspeed velocity of each, figure out their percentage of the shallow population and do a weighted average.

Then the probability of you finishing an Internet RPG is extremly low. These are among the hardest types of game to make. Try something easier.

Yeah, not to destroy your hopes and dreams or anything.

He's right though, without much serious experience, it will be extremely difficult to accomplish such a large task. Start on a smaller scale and gradually work your way up to it.
