Looking at Francis Glassborow's ACCU Review of the book, this could be one of the less terrible Schildt books, but I still have my doubts as to whether a beginner should read it: "awesome book" is probably hyperbole given Schildt's bad reputation.

In any case, I'm removing the (presumably illegal) link and moving this thread.
