Not a real problem as such, but I was reading Charle's Petzold's Programming Windows 95 the other day, in the chapter about GDI programming he wrote that people have actually gone around GDI and drawn directly to the screen, but this causes system instability, etc.
Does anyone know how that is possible? Not that I'm thinking of trying it of course, but... :p
