Hi friends,

There's probably a FAQ about it on the trolltech site.
Or, better yet, install the QT tool kit that is on the ancient RH9 cdroms.
then you have the version that works on the antiquated release.
[ Red Hat 9 is 6 years old, fedora 6 is going to be released soon, which is the newest version of Red Hat for personal use. ]
Red Hat 9 is still annoyingly popular on many servers, where you may have root access, but still no control over the base OS version.
I'm working with one of these right now. Its DNS system is not functional.
That was my point CornedBee, it is so old that it's reliability is suspect now.
Red Hat isn't maintaining security or bugfix patches for it, and there have been a fair number of both for almost every package in linux since then.
Anyone that is not currently using it is making a serious error in not picking a current version. Those currently using it are ignoring all the non fixed security and bug issues found in the software since then, which is as stupid as running a microsoft os with no protection from malware and no security updates being applied to it.
Hey, I know. I'm just talking about what is reality as opposed to what is ideal. You can't always control the OS you're running on.
I know, and webhosts are the worst offenders for running old os versions :)
I wasn't trying to be insulting to you specifically, only to those who won't put newer versions of the os on their systems.
