Inputting data from a table of properties

I need to include a function to retrieve information from a table of fluid properties in a program I am writing. I don't really know how to do this. The function needs to use a fluid temperature to look-up the fluid properties. It would be helpful to read the property table from a spreadsheet. Is there any way to read information from a spreadsheet file selectively?

Please let me know if you have any tips.

Do you mean excel?

The easy answer is to get excel to export the data as a Comma Separated Value (.csv) file. Since this is just a text file, its easy to parse using standard C functions.
