Visual C++ programming help

Hello,

I am want to know basic rs232 interfacing using the visual c++.. I want to experiment on getting to communicate with the COM port 1. Can you give me like a simple program that would be able to read COM port settings and be able to send a simple data into the COM port? How should this be done like from the first thing the application is opened and pressing a simple button to read the status of the COM port and be able to send a data once the COM port is ready to send (something like that)..

Nobody's going to write a program for you. Welcome to cboard, home of the do-it-yourself'ers. Go do a google search or something and come back when you've shown a bit more effort.
