You could be more specific then this i think.
About the drive letter, well that one is not a problem although it seems strange to me that it would just change like that + the fact that all of a sudden your cdrom is behaving strange.
Did you do anything strange to your system before it started or not, also which OS ...
Greets,
Ganglylamb.
have you recently installed any virtual drive software? like daemon tools or nero imagedrive, etc? Also, you should run a virus check...echo GL on the OS question.
Heh. Reminds me of how my system went screwy after installing XP on a system with a zipdrive present.
Drive letters
Zipdrive - C
CDROM - D
Harddrive - E
Maybe your drive is old and about to die. I remember how I had a drive that would only occasionally be recognizied by the BIOS and it completely stopped functioning after a week of this.
No, it's not old. I guess the newest thing was an XP patch, it wasn't anything huge, maybe I'll look into it. It wasn't SP2 or anything.
I'll scan my computer ASAP, and as for deamon tools, I've had them, but haven't used them (its been disabled) for months now. Thanks for all the help so far though :D
