These forums used to be easy on the eyes.
I think that the webmaster has put a lot of work in to this interface already, and it's getting better all the time to be much like what it used to be
I agree - at first it was annoying, but now it is closer to original and I have gotten used to it. I wouldn't mind a change back, but I sort of like this now (as long as they use these smilies :D ) .

It takes a while to get used to it. Perhaps all the "extra" features could be removed/hidden from the pages.
I really like the quick response, the bold topic font, and the tooltips when you highlight the topic.

If you could be a bit more specific about things you would like to see changed to make it more like the old forum, I would be grateful. I have tried to remove most of the unnecessary bells and whistles graphics that were originally part of the new board, but if I have missed something, I would love to know.Quote:

The reply box resets if you go backwards or forwards. The design is ugly, mainly the white text on dark blue background but also the title bar ^^^ and it's associated ugly directory icons.

ALL of the tool tips are pointless and annoying.
The reply box is ugly.
The quick reply box is ugly and its pointless, it only saves you one click.
The thread rating thing is retarded.
The additional options go off the page on the reply section.
All of the new icons are hideous.
The cells on the forum list need more padding or at least need to be evenly spaced, as they look all wonky.
I could go on but my original reply got erased because I hit back by accident.

And another page loading. in the upper-right hand corner you have an option to collaps it. Use it instead of complaining about its existence.

There has ALWAYS been a thread rating column. This one just integreates things like "Sticky", "Attachments", etc.

The only thing I'll agree with. The cells everywhere need a bit more padding, IMHO.
I agree. The webmaster has done (and still doing) a great job. I don't see any strong reason to change it back.Quote:

Riiiiight. I'm running at 1152x864, and my browser window is about 800x600, and it still looks fine. Nothing's getting pushed off the page. Your browser is just wonky.
quit whining. I'm getting used to it. I'm not going to sit here and say that the old version or this one is better. I think I like the old version with some of the new features, but some of those features were available in the old version. And the QUICK REPLY RULES!
I like it the way it is now.
I really love this design. After returning from being hiatus for a bit, I was like "Dude, this site is kickass!"
If you don't like it, ignore it. The webmaster and everyone else has put in a lot of time to make this what it is today.

I disagree on changing back; however, the current design sucks (and I'm talking about the layout, icons, text, whatever you see on the screen, NOT the functionality). For example, no padding, incorporating old buttons, burning RED non-weighted text, messy member info (the one next to post, on the leftside). In overall, it just looks sloppy, unfinished.
iidb.org, I tend to like that color scheme better. I agree with one of the first posters, it’s hard on the eyes; more or less, harder to find things - the colors don’t really stand out from each other but merly blend. (I could do w/o as much of the gray - not on the left with the s/n but the main boddy, like, brighter)

I was a little skeptical about the new layout at first, but after the webmaster and kermi3's(besides whoever else!) work to straighten things out, it seems a lot better, and I have become acoustomed to it. It seems like the occasional alignment glitch pops up here and there, but I haven't seen any lately, so that looks to be getting better.
I think the change is fine now.
Know what I think? Deal and move on. It looks fine. Oh my goodness, who cares if the colors are blue? Who cares if the little button dudes along the top aren't all exactly evenly spaced? It works, doesn't it? At least it's not hot pink with flowers or something. If you don't care for the quick reply thing, then don't use it. If your page is messed up or whatever the problem was (I don't remember offhand), then deal. If you don't like the new look, then either close your eyes and hope you click the right thing or don't come to the boards anymore. Holy cow! I'm sorry if I sound rude or anything, but I'm so sick of people complaining! Just deal!
