Is there anyone know where I could get information about the bachelor degree programs for blind and deaf???? Please give me the link.
be more specific; teaching blind and death? or degrees earnable by the bind and death - if the latter, then I think most universities provide people with such dissabilities opportunities to earn a degree.
Yes I mean the degree earnable for people who are blind and deaf. Please don't tell me google. Please give me some links
well damn...why not google? second choice would be to look through the websites of some schools that interest you and/or are close to you. No one will go and search these sites for you....here is a link to my school: UIC
I know for a fact that there is a blind student that has many classes with me, therefore such program must exist in my school.
I tried already on google. But I don't get what I want. Google cannot give me the links for that programs explain clearly. So maybe if u guys already knows some links, that's better I hope.
Especially I want to know is, is there any programs that offer online for blind and deaf. For deaf, they will use sign language through computer screen and for blind, they use other technique. But I don't know where can I get information about that. I try on google and yahoo, but I still don't get it.
My wife tells me there is a training centre for deaf/blind within our own commune - I didn't know that. She does not know to what level the education goes however. The centre in in Fredensborg, North Sjælland Island, Denmark.
Excuse my ignorance, but what methods would they use to teach them?
:D:D.. why teach the "death"...Quote:

My wife has worked in the education sector, and most recently has trained as an adult educator. I asked her this myself. She is not an expert in that field but told me that there is a "touch" alphabet which can be extended to cover quite a large amount of general day to day language, however, it has a lot of problems with totally abstract concepts.
She said she would ask about it for me - I too was somewhat curious.
Now I am working at office of internet education in my school. They hope that there is an online programs for blind and deaf. For blind, they can hear and there will be using special equipments and for deaf they can see ...Quote:

I hope adrianxw's wife could give the answer.
I'm not sure about the blind part... but there are TONS of schools that provide online classes where the user would use the web as an interface to the instructor and would have no problems being deaf.

There was a deaf kid in my classes all through college. He had a personal assistant that came to each class with him, as well as a laptop with a listening device that recorded every word said during lectures to screen. If he had a question he would use sign language to communicate it to the assistant and she would ask the professor. The kid took the same tests and wrote the same code as the rest of us.
Just the curious person inside me asking this.. Why do you want to know? If there is some personal reason then just don't answer, but I was just a little curious.
Yes, of course, I am.Quote:
I think that program is for ordinary people, isn't it?
