upgrading procesor

here are my system specs

Operating System: Windows ME Build 3000
CPU/MEM: 1 Intel Pentium III, 700MHz 512 mb of ram
Display System: n/a using a n/a monitor at 1024 by 768 16bit color

yes i only got 700 mhz. i am looking into upgrading my processor and getting atleast a 1.5 gighrz processor (whatever the abbreviation is). how can i go abuot making sure my new processor with be comptatible with my mother board?

try looking up the name of the motherboard maker and the model name/number. Then go to their homepage and you should be able to find out what the max specs for the board are.
