help with monitor settings PLEASE!

ok im using windows ME. my video card is a nvidia geforce fx 5200.

i think the problem came form i shutdown my computer and turned off the main power switch right before it said 'its safe to shut off your computer" now when i rightclick on my desktop and go to properties>settings. my second montor cant be enabled. which is the one i normally use cause it has a higher screen res. if i enable my seocnd monitor by double clicking it then i press apply it just gets disabled. i try to disbale the 1st monitor but i cant. anyone know what im talking abuot. anyone here can help me? yeh i tried donwloading my video card drivers again, it didnt work.

haven't heard from you in months!

anyway, did you try removing your second monitor from the hardware list then adding it again?
that might fix the conflict.

1) Reformat, install a real OS.
2) Check your device manager to see if you have a resource conflict.
3) Unplug the second monitor, reboot, shutdown. Plug it back in, reboot.

What have you tried so far other than what you mentioned? Sounds like a hardware thing, because I'd imagine if it was a driver problem, your first monitor would be screwed up too.
