I made a text adventure once along time ago. I think you can d/l it here.
Of course, one really cool text game I made was Xtreme Fight, but the source is very messy, so I wasn't to thrilled about it. It's not really a text adventure, it's more just battle. lol, it sounds funny reading back on my post....lol.
