What annoys you the most?
For me its when you go to all the trouble to make yourself some toast. (mmmm toast) And then your walking back to your computer desk, and it falls off the plate, and for some reason it always, always falls butterd side down and gets tiny peices of carpet hair stuck to it. :( dammmm that is soo annoying!
You have it the other way around...
Counselors are not prepared to treat clinical depression, psychiatrists are. Psychiatrists are the ones that prescribe those "happy-pills" someone referred to earlier in the post.
Depression is a chemical imbalance, that is why it is treated with the aforementioned "happy-pills". Nevertheless, i can say from personal experience that even though statisctically the pills do help enourmously in most cases, they are far from being any kind of real cure.
A combination of "happy-pills" and counseling is the best treatment for clinical depression. To expect willingness to recover from the depression is, in some cases, ludicrous, for the patient -because he/she is depressed- does not wish to do anything at all, which includes attempting a recovery.
"Depression is a chemical imbalance", then one would infer that it's opposite -being happyness- would be balance; from which one would then infer that chemicals and nothing else control the emotional state of human beings. But then again, we live and feel things that prove otherwise everyday. Or is that only because we cannot fathom the conection that lies between human interaction and the emotional state of individuals?
Oh well...
adios,
