*Announcer* It was a close match between static and DavidP, but in the end, DavidP managed to pull off a 3 to 0 victory over static. static almost managed to hold off on the last round, but DavidP managed to use a SwitchFields special block against static, and then attacked static more with AddLines. static was not able to hold off. This has been an exciting first match, seeing these two expert tetris players compete against each other. Now we ask...who will we see in round 2?

Anothe round of Tetrinet has finished. Today's competitors were Ken, DavidP, and Govtcheez. The first game was an easy win by Ken, and the second was an easy win by Govtcheez.
The 3rd and 4th games were taken by David as he seemed to get an incredibly amount of nukes, switch fields, and all the good special blocks. :D
The final game was taken by govtcheez. DavidP went down early in this game because of an incredibly amount of quakes used by govtcheez. It then went down to the wire between Ken and Govtcheez, who were both sitting at the brim when the game ended, with Govtcheez barely winning.
So todays results are:
Ken - 1
DavidP - 2
Govtcheez - 2
We need a site to post results and catalog them in a database...
Garfield - give ur AIM and so whenever you are online we can IM you and you can play.
Well, I don't have AIM. My ISP is At&t and I just never bothered to go to aol and download it. Is there any other way for you to know when I'm online? Thanks.

Static vs. Govtcheez -
1) fairly close until Govtcheez got a swap, built up his pile, and then swapped it to static for the killer.
2) close again until static tried to use Govtcheez's swap trick and had his pile swapped to him - Govtcheez nuked and the game finished.
3) doubleanti hopped in for about the first 3 seconds of this one - he stayed in long enough to draw fire from static and Govtcheez before mysteriously disappearing. Otherwise, much the same as match 2.
Final - Govtcheez 3, static 0, doubleanti -1 (cuz he quit in the middle)

An ICQ is like AIM except the is more then one program that can use it.

Now...There is an instant messaging service called Trillian, which can be found at www.trillian.cc
The most current release of Trillian is v0.6351, which currently supports AOL IM, ICQ, MSN Messenger, IRC, and Yahoo! Messenger.
I dont personally have it, but I suggest that if you dont have AIM, either get Trillian, so you can talk to AIM people, or get AIM. AIM is the most common medium.
Also, I am currently making a site to allow us to input the results of our games and it will catalog them all in a database, so we can have official win/loss scores and all.

in a game of best outta 3 Ken Vs DavidP (omg, it rhymes!) Ken comes out a winner! The tourney went as such:
1) After a long, extremely interesting and tricky battle, Ken wins
2) A shorter game, where David won with a devious trick
3) This was the crown Jewel - It was fairly short and Ken had a whole bunch of good special blocks, but david had none (after thorough deletion by Ken :)) so a few well-placed block bombs and quakes caused david to lose miserably :)

I cam back and my stuid stuid suky ISP disconected me durring the download.
I tried to IM spiederliker but he had signed out.
I did a google search, and downloaded terinet 2. and insteaded it to C:\tetrinet.
Now what do I do.

more games have been played! it is hard to keep track of all of these...doubleanti won some...ken won some...i won some....static almost won....aran elus did pretty good...silent strike appeared for a few seconds, but left....we all started to team up against DA after awhile. it was fun :)

It's online tetris. You need to get it off the web to play. Make sure you have verson 1.13 and not 2. They are incompatable.

In the second game doubleanit quicly lost, then stealth. It was down to me and cozman, who in the end beat me. That was my only good game.
Also someone expain to doubleanti how to find is IP. After discusing it for a while I had to host since no one else could. I got it on the first try. :D.
Lastly inform doublanti it is not nice to complain, even if your board mystirusly is half filed very quicly :p.
I try to send him Fast IP finder tonight. It came with Tetrinet, maybe you got a better verson 1.13 ;).

No, you don't NEED AIM per-se, but it makes setting up a game a helluvalot easier. I suggest getting it anyway. And as for your IP, if you have AIM you can rightclick->insert->IP Address, but you could also use WinIpCfg and also http://whatismyipaddress.com is better because you can copy and paste into the IM.

That is the site to post Tetrinet scores, TEMPORARILY. Geocities does not have ASP support, which is what my Scores page relies on, so temporarily you will have to email me your scores so I can put them into the database. Thanks goes to doubleanti for the sidebar image.
