There's a free 30-day evaluation, but otherwise you'll have to pay $599.00.Quote:

it had better be good for $600. I would use DevC++ before spending that kind of money. Fortunately I already have VC++ 6. Didn't cost nearly that much.
It's for both mac's and pc's, and I think they have one for linux as well.Quote:

If you want a good compiler, they arent cheap.
they can be :D
When I bought VC++ 6 Academic version it was something like $80. Any limitations that it may have are small.

Codewarrior has compilers for more platforms than most companies do. They even have compilers for PS2, Palm Pilots, and almost anything else.
Yea, for functionality they are the same, but you cannot legally sell commercial software without the very expensive version. Academic versions do not let you sell your work.Quote:

standard does if I'm not mistaken. And I posted a link up there for $90 standard .NET
You can sell what you want, but if you are coding MFC, you cant link the runtime statically, so you must distribute your app with the proper MFC dll...Quote:

Also, that version doesnt optimise or profile
Still.....My first VC++ was the standard version and it was good for what I paid
