Here, look here - http://www.allegro.cc/files/install-devcpp.html - It's straight from the Allegro homepage so It should be accurate.
i did but i dont wanan get this other **** liek power archiver or change my booting ****
uh...Dev-C++ already changed your so-called "booting ****", and it doesn't harm your system in any way.
Download the self-extracter he told you about. A 5 year-old could set it up.
Ok, but what about Klinerr?Quote:

I don't know. May be tricky. But, have confidence? lol
1: allegro is extremely easy to use.Quote:

2: this is a C question, not a C++ question.
umm allegro is a grpahics library for c++ unless they changed that within the last 5 days. it might be a C one also.
Ya'll know of any 5 yera old shere to set it up for me? wait i think i just insulted myself. oh well. i set it up.so whoever said dev alreayd edited the stuff. does that mean i dont nee dto d/l those files that are .gz extenstions?Quote:

did you ever, ever, EVER stop to think before you said something? allegro is and always has been a well written portable graphics library, in C with asm here and there. not C++. the fact that you can #include its headers and use it in C++ has nothing to do what it's actually written in; it also can be called in a few other languages as well if i'm not mistaken.Quote:

let's say that in terms of distance by links, martha stewart's home page can be considered to be about 1000 miles from goatse (a very repugnant anal webpage if you don't know what it is). this is a representation of about how many different web pages you would have to go through if you wanted to get from martha stewart to goatse only by clicking links on pages you visit. using this representation, the aforementioned page is about 10 feet from the allegro home page.Quote:

do u know if i still need the .gz files!?>!?!?!?!?!?
okay, I won't even quote what you said in your question about the boot ****, it'll embarrass me :p
What I was saying is, Dev-C++ changes boot **** when you install that. FOR DEV-C++. When you install allegro it changes boot **** FOR ALLEGRO.
Actually, I never have had to change my boot **** for Allegro. I just installed it, and poof! It works!
someone please tell me if i need the gz files!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
depends on your OS. if you are running a windows system you don't need it, if you are running a *nix system you do, I think (correct me if I am wrong).
thats what i thought but others told me differ. usualy bz files are for nix OS's
