The starter of the thread could mark the thread as dead meaning that they no longer need help, or as alive meaning they still do. This will prevent people from reading alread answered questions or assuming a questions been answered just because it has a high post count.
i second that. But given the lethargy of the human species, i wonder how many would take the trouble of actually doing that.
well people would make their post as live becuase it would get them more responces but yeah im not sure theyed bother mark it as dead. Mabey if they don't mark it as live once a week it gets marked dead.

No because responces would bump it back. Also there could be a filter out dead post feature.
How would we mark the thread as dead? - You mean just say: "Thanks for da help, I got it, thread closed"? :confused:
Too bad this is a pre-made forum, and I doubt any of the webmaster would have the time to sift through pages apon pages of the code in an attempt to add this feature..
