Booting Problems
My computer recently got 2 viruses that in fected 14 files in a few minutes while surfing the web.
(Dont worry my attachments are clean :D )
Now a while back we took our pc to the shop... they replaced our motherboard. Ever since, the system restore CD will not work. It will not boot up on restart. Can any one help?

Sounds like they changed the type / brand / model of motherboard you have rendering teh boot CD useless.
Or, more likely, they changed the CMOS settings. Try hitting DEL as the PC boots, find the boot up device sequence and ensure this is C: then A: then D: (or CDROM drive if more than two IDE drives).

ill try that...
But i can tell that they used the system restore b4 they gave it back to us soo.....
(cause it still has the other brands, software on it)

any idea where u picked up the viruses ???
u could comment on the "how safe is it " thread.....

As a remote possibility you could have a corrupted boot sector on the main disk from the virus. (much more likely they have not reset your CMOS to boot from CD)
May need a fdisk or format with -mbr (master boot record) to fix. (this is unlikely and of course will delete all info so last resort)

well...
Guess what...
After changing the First Boot Bios so it would boot with cd...
I found out that the motherboard has no factory image..
:(
