This is just wrong...
I was at school today and my friend showed me these two pictures on the internet:
(Moderator Warning: The two links display material that may be seen as offensive to christians. If you don't want to be offended, don't follow these links ;) -nv, mod.)

I can see their logic in these and where they are coming from, and so I do find them a bit funny when I think of where they are coming from, but arent they a bit wrong too?
What do you all think of them?
-
If its so "wrong" why have you linked to it?
-
I do not find this amusing at all, this is my own personal opinion, and I feel that this might offend a lot of people....please cosidere editing your post.
-
As a Christian person...I find these pictures very offensive. I can't believe nobody in the company tried to protest it.
-
free speech?
howdy,
 this is probably taking free speech right to edge.
what does the mod think of this one?

I agree that the snickers one is wrong.
But the one from the parking lot is full must be put in context.
But I'll let them talk for themselves:

>but arent they a bit wrong too?<
How are they wrong?
Don't get me wrong - I completely see where you're coming from, but I still don't see how they are wrong...
-
You know our politics on these matters. If the pictures would have been posted here, and people where offended, we would remove them, regardless of our personal views. But it's just links, don't follow them if you think your christianity can't bear a joke about itself.
My personal opinion is that the first one is hilarious. It will probably never hit the streets because too many people will be offended, but I like it. It will not make me buy Snickers, but it will sure make me laugh.
The second one is just not funny. It doesn't offend me, but it's just not funny. I don't really get the joke. Or rather I do, but it doesn't make me laugh.

Ah, thank you nvoigt, you took the words right out of my mouth.
-
i agree with nv on this - i found the first one very funny (its just a bit of satire) but i didnt understand the joke on the second ... anyone ever watched brass eye - its the same sort of thing, very cutting satire but you wouldnt believe the number of people who take it overly seriously
-
The joke on the second one's a takeoff on an American cereal commercial... The Trix Rabbit is always trying to get the cereal from the kids, and the commercials always end with him starving and empty-handed, and the little ankle-biter kids saying "Silly Rabbit, Trix is for kids"
I didn't really think either was funny, but I wasn't offended with them, either...
-
ok... i have to go on the record on this one saying that while the first may appear funny.... it IS blasphemy to any true Christian... i won't say anymore than that.
and the second i didn't really care about... it wasn't funny tho...
-
Well, although he does have a point about how you can follow the link or not, I do feel really offended. (PERIOD)
-
>As a Christian person...I find these pictures very offensive.
Umm...I am also Christian...in fact...I am very devout...but I still see where they are coming from in these and so I can see the humor, even though I also see the bad side and that they wrong.
-
>it IS blasphemy to any true Christian... i won't say anymore than that.<
I still don't understand. :( Please tell me how they are blasphemis (sp?) and/or wrong. I think Jesus himself would laugh at them...
I am a Christian, but they do not offend me at all.
