Beginner Question: How to put a character at a certain position?

Hi!

I would be thankful if anyone could tell me if its possible to put a character a a specific position on the screen in "Win32 Console Application"? something like "pos(x-coordinate, y-coordinate)" and if there is an easy way to change screen resolution?

I'm not sure if you can alter the resolution in a console, never needed to try.
