Sending a string to another computer

    Hello,

I'm trying to make a program that runs on two different computers. The first one will send out a string to the other one, and then display that string in a message box.

It's not really that useful, I'm just trying to figure out the basics of Network (or internet) programming.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Matt

    Moved to networking forum.
FYI, read the intro threads of this new forum. In particular, seek out the 'beej' tutorial, and read how to make a client and server.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
