Question can sockets help me in this task??

    Ok...I'm not a "socket guy"...so I'm trying this:

    1. I want to send data to my server like via url, like this: www.site.com/file.php?data=waffles
    2. later call www.site.com/showdata.php and display on html document the word waffles.
    3. I know how to parse file.php?data=waffles and write it on a file, called "file.txt"
    4. I know how to read the file.txt and display its contents.

What I need is, some tutos or simple codes that can help me send data from app to my server...

I was reading about WSAStartup, socket, but nothing solid about how to do it..

    any ideas..???
    Thanks

See cURL (ie libcurl), could greatly help you.

HttpOpenRequest() on win32, thats the easiest way to implement simple web functionality.

you didnt specify what platform, but since you mentioned WSAStartup() I assumed windows.
