Raw Sockets, Filter Packets?

Im using raw sockets to capture all the packets going over my network. Now is there a way I can block or filter the packets so they dont come through or are received by any applications? Thanks in advance.

I do believe you're talking about something like a personal firewall, to block a connection to or from an application on a local machine.
