something got screwed up on my brothers pc w/his internet. when i found out his drivers didnt work i tried to re-install them and it runs through like it's installing just fine, restarts (as usual) and when i look in the device manager it gives me this...

"The NDIS.VXD, NTKERN.VXD device loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver (code 2)"

so i've uninstalled, reinstalled over and over. it even got to the point where i re-installed win98 thinking maybe something got corrupted.

.....im clueless on what to do?

can ANYBODY, please point me in the right direction this thing is driving me nuts

Perspective

where are you getting the driver from? If its from an install CD that came with the hardware you might want to check the manufacturers web-site to see if theres an updated version. Other than that, i have no idea....

yep, it's off the cd, and the website has the same thing thats on the cd so?

im just baffled because this all worked before, flawlessly.

If you format the harddrive and reinstall, it should work.
Another alternative, is to delete the programfiles/windows directory and all files on the root of the c drive(remember attrib -h -r- s first), and then reinstall.

Just reinstalling over the old Win98 installation often doesn't work..
