Little help - sockets - ftp

Hello I'm trying to write a simple ftp library in C, so I can use it after in my programs
Now I'm stuck not really in a programming question, and yes more logical and more about the protocol itself. I tried to read the RFC but still couldn't get really any idea how do I send a file to the server...

Is that right that I need to enter PASV, and then STOR the file in the server? I'm lost, I'll try to read the RFC again

    Get http://www.ethereal.com/
It's a good idea to have this anyway for all sorts of network problems

Then watch what happens when you use FTP to send a file, using your standard FTP application.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
I support http://www.ukip.org/ as the first necessary step to a free Europe.
