I'm trying to compile an Objective-C program, and it says in the gcc man pages that I need to link with 'libobjc.a' to get it to work.
I try this:
I get a linker error complaining that libobjc.a can't be found. When I 'apt-get install libobjc' it says that it's already the latest version.Code:gcc main.m -o main -llibobjc.a
Please help this makes no sense

Check the -l option, it states the 'lib' and '.a' are assumed from the name you give it - which is why you have -lm say and not -llibm.a

Are you asking before or after the 10 seconds it takes to try it?
