    System Varaibles

    Hey is there any way (Mandrake, GCC) that I can return different system varables? eg, system uptime, logged on user, etc?

    I just want to find out their values, not change them...

    I know you can get uptime by simply doing

    uptime -> system uptime
    who or w -> show users and what they are doing

    Check the man pages, it may have something, other than that I dont know of any specific commands.
