    For doing technical projects I like the Unix variants and OS-9000, currently I'm working for a few years with this OS, very nice and very stable.

    I've tried FreeBSD too. The catch is it is too large to download.

    I heard that Linus Trovald uses SuSE and Redhat.
    slackware 10.0; kernel 2.6.7
    gcc 3.4.0; glibc 2.3.2; vim editor
    migrating to freebsd 5.4
