ftp daemons..

Hey all,

Ok, so I have been using Mandrake 7.2 with the wu-ftpd installed but I can't seem to connect to the machine through ftp or telnet for that matter... and I have both running. Is there some kind of permissions file that needs to be changed?

Also, is there an easy way to check to see what daemons are running besides watching what starts during boot-time?
