compile the source but I get a file called <file>.out. Any I dea how I would go about running this?

By typing <file>.out. It is an executable file.
Yeah thats what I thought but I keep getting a
"Bash: file.out :command not found
I tried as root and in shell but I cant seem to get it to work
This should work
gcc file.c
to run -> ./a.out
